Packard Twin Six was founded back in the late 60’s by C.A. Leslie, an Oklahoma City business man who found it necessary to build parts and collect data for his restorations of his Packard’s. C.A. had a fond appreciation for the Packard automobile and as his knowledge of these autos grew, he became one of the well known names of Packard historians. C.A. contributed to the Packard History book that was edited by Beverley Rae Kimes, and he wrote numerous pieces for the club magazines.
C.A.’s understanding of the Packard cars he intended to restore pushed him to reproduce items that where impossible to find in the used parts arena.
Some of these items needed improvement over the originals, and others just needed to be recreated. It was in these efforts that he founded Packard Twin Six. The logic was that if he had to make one part for his cars, that other people would probably need them as well. So, he started reproducing engine hardware and other items. It was around this time that he befriended Ted Davis, another Oklahoma business man that had his own auto restoration business, not too far from C.A.’s. As time passed C.A. eventually sold the parts business and C.A’s Packard’s to Ted and the tradition continues.
Today we are pushing the Packard Twin Six parts business to new levels. We want to grow the business by offering web access and printed catalogs. We intend to continue to develop new items and improve existing ones, while keeping with the original intent of providing superior quality reproduction parts for the classic era vehicles.
